Q & A

How much do invitations cost?

Can I order a sample?

Yes. Samples are mailed free of charge. You can order a sample of one of my pre-existing designs. Click here to see them. Just mention the design by name in your order inquiry if you would like a sample.

I don't live in the Kansas City area. Can I still order Ten Twenty Custom Invitations?

Certainly! Consultations can be done over email and/or phone.

How do I pay?

I accept cash and credit card payments. If you are not local, you can pay via PayPal, through Etsy, or over the phone if you prefer.

How does the order and design process work?

Once you have initiated your order, I will send you a quote/proposal. If you choose to go forward with your order, a 50% deposit will secure your invitation booking. If your order date and the “date needed” are less than 30 days apart, payment is due in full when you place your order. After your deposit is received, I will begin working on your custom design and within one week, will send you a design proof via email. Once you approve the design, printing will begin. Invitations are then packaged carefully and can be picked up or shipped to you at cost. Final payment is due before invitations are shipped/picked up.

What is included in a wedding invitation suite?

Wedding invitation suites typically include the following pieces: your custom invitation (and outer envelope), reception card, RSVP card (and RSVP envelope), accommodations/directions insert.

How long does the whole process take?

Design time varies based on how much back-and-forth consulting we end up doing in order to create something you truly love. Once you have approved the final design for print, it usually takes approximately two weeks or less for your invitations to be ready for pick-up/shipment. (Expedited options are available if needed.)

When should I order my invitations?

As soon as you know your wedding date and venue, you can order your wedding invitations. It is recommended that you order your invitations 4-6 months before your wedding date. The earlier you can order them, the better.

When should I mail out my invitations?

Invitations should be mailed 6-8 weeks before the wedding. In the case of destination weddings, invitations should be mailed 10-12 weeks before.

When should save-the-dates be mailed?

Mail save-the-dates 4-6 months before the wedding date (for destination weddings, up to a year before).
